1st Lt Michael J. Walsh enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 17 February 1941.He left to go overseas in February 1944, after receiving his final training at Camp Pickett, Virginia. He also trained at Camp Livingston for a year and a half and attended OCS at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
