Pfc Merle L. Perkins attended Haverling High School. He was employed at the Taylor Wine Company.Pfc Merle L. Perkins enlisted in Fort Niagara, Youngstown, New York on 21 February 1942. He was sent overseas in January 1944.
He was reported wounded in action on 30 July 1944 and returned to action on 5 December 1944.
