Pfc Jack P. Wainey graduated from Glenville High School in 1941 and was employed at Thompson Aircraft CompanyHe enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 17 April 1943.
Jack's father died of a sudden heart attack on 28 December 1944 without knowing his son had died. His mother found out, several days later.
