Pfc Robert F. Gilroy enlisted on 28 December 1943 in Binghamton, New York. He was sent overseas in May, 1944.

He joined his unit from a replacement depot on 21 September 1944 and was promoted to Private First Class on 17 January 1945.

Pfc Gilroy died of diphtheria.
