1st Lt Gibbs war initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Son, The Netherlands on 20 September 1944.After being disinterred and buried in a temporary grave at Margraten, he was given his final resting place when the cemetery at Margraten was given a permanent status on 7 February 1949.
