2nd Lt David A. Grenier awas a millwright.

He joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve at Buckley Field, Denver, Colorado on 19 February 1943.

The formation suffered severe attacks from enemy fighters. The airplane was seen to be burning from the waist and about twenty seconds later it burst into flames all over. It turned on its back and fell straight down.

One crew member survived and was taken prisoner, eight were killed.
