2nd Lt Donald B. Woodworth graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. He was employed at Houston Ship Building Company.Statement of Sgt Richard L. Hoyle:
'I was flying no 3 position in the lead flight of the first box in the crew position of tail gunner. On the return from the target we were attacked by enemy fighters. What looked like number 2 ship, piloted by Capt Hale, peeled off with the right engine flaming.'
