Sgt John D. Schuyler Jr. graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and Villanova college in 1939. He was employed at General Electric Company in Schenectady.He enlisted in Albany, New York on 14 April 1942 and was sent overseas in February 1944.
Sgt Schuyler had previously been wounded in France in August 1944 and returned to action.
