Pfc Edward S. Maziarka enlisted in the Regular Army at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 27 October 1941.He attended 1 year of high school and worked as a woodworker before he enlisted.
He died in Belgium as a prisoner of war. He was taken prisoner on 4 January 1945 when the 550th was in combat in the vicinity of Renuamont, Belgium.
