Pvt Kenneth R. Carlson graduated from William Horlick High School and attended the University of Wisconsin a short time.His father was an immigrant from Sweden.
He enlisted in Wisconsin in March 1943 and had been overseas for seven months.
Pvt Carlson was severely wounded in action in the Groesbeek area in the Netherlands and died of wounds in a Belgian hospital. He sustained shell wounds in his arms and legs.
