Pfc Morris S. Traver Jr. enlisted in Camden, New Jersey on 28 May 1943.

Morris S. Traver Jr. had completed his freshman year at Duke when he enlisted as an air corps cadet. He was a member of the 102nd "Ozark" Division, attached to General Simpson's Ninth Army. He went overseas in September 1944.
Pfc Traver was killed in action in Germany near Linnich, Rur river.
