Robert M. Berardi graduated from Sandusky High School in 1940 and attended Bowling Green State University for three years where he took courses in business administration.He enlisted in Toledo, Ohio on 3 April 1943.
His brother, Nello L. Berardi, is buried at Sicily-Rome American Military Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy.
