S/Sgt Milton Z. Chesshir enlisted in Little Rock, Arkansas on 11 January 1944. He was killed in action near Bastogne, Belgium during a battle with the 12th SS Panzer Division. The last attempt by the Germans to seize Bastogne.According to the data in the IDPF, he was killed by artillery or mortar fire (mandible and left humerus fractered, crushed skull).
He was first buried at the temporary American Cemetery at Foy on 5 February 1945. On 15 July 1948, he was finally layed to rest at Henri-Chapelle.
