More information

Edward Haraburda attended college.

He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States at Bradley Field, Connecticut, on 11 February 1942.

Statement of 1st Lt Wendell W. Beaty, who flew in the same mission: "I was Bentley Green two. Lt. Haraburda was Bentley Green three. Bentley Green Four was hit by anti-aircraft fire while we were getting down to the target and turned back. We three made a pass at a train. I lost sight of Lt Haraburda in the turn for the second pass as he dropped slightly behind. No radio call was heard. The light flak was intense and fairly accurate at this point.

Lt Haraburda was initially buried at the place of the crash on 23 November 1944.
