More information
1st Lt Thomas J. Tubman enlisted in January 1943 and was sent overseas in December 1944.Statement from Ernest A. Pine, T/Sgt, Engineer:
After flying through the flak at Brux, Baker 4, 5 and 6 fell back and to the left flying along at approximately the same altitude, when Baker 5 was attacked by fighters - ME 262´s. They made one pass at it and the ship rolled over on its back and into a tight spin. This happened just a few minutes before the IP, after we had cleared the flak at Brux.
