Pvt Paul Avraam was a retail manager before he enlisted in new York City, New York on 10 February 1943.

He was first buried at Block U, Row 5, Grave 115 on 9 March 1945. He was disinterred on 23 July 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 28 July 1948. He was given his final resting place in April 1949.
