About 2 miles SE of Brussels, Belgium, at 2030 hours, and at 21,000 feet altitude, we saw A/C no. 470 receive a direct hit from flak. The right wing caught fire, exploded and blew off. The aircraft went spinning down and the fuselage broke in two. Just as the aircraft entered the undercast, the fire went out. No parachutes were seen to open.
