Pvt John P. Perdue enlisted at Camp Croft, South Carolina on 10 October 1942. He was sent overseas in December 1943 and was wounded on D-Day, but returned to action on 1 September 1944.He was killed by a shell explosion in a kitchen.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Molenhoek, The Netherlands.
