Pvt William M. Wilson attended high school for four years and was a filling station attendant before he enlisted at Fort McPherson, Georgia on 23 January 1943.He was killed by artillery shell fragments to his leg.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Grand-Failly, France.
