He was killed, together with another member of his company who is buried at Henri Chapelle: Pvt William Harrington.On 27 February 1945, the remains of Pfc Beach, Pvt Harrington and another American soldier were discovered at the civil cemetery of Sommerain, Belgium.
They were evacuated to the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy.
Pfc Beach was buried there on the same day. He was disinterred on 27 September 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a transfer box on 29 September 1948. He was transported to Henri-Chapelle and given his final resting place on 16 November 1948.
He was killed by small arms fire to the chest.
