Roy Coleman attended high school for two years.He joined the Regular Army at Fort Hayes, Ohio on 9 December 1940.
He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 20 October 1944. After being disinterred and after the cemetery was given a permanent status, he was given his final resting place on 29 July 1948.
Pfc Coleman was killed by shrapnel.
