Pfc Thomas A. Veanus Jr. attended high school for two years before he enlisted in Allentown, Pennsylvania on 21 December 1942. He first served with the Military Police for two years and was transferred to the infantry. He was sent overseas in March 1945.He was killed by small arms fire to his stomach.
