T/5 Gerard K. Duncan joined the National Guard in Providence, Rhode Island on 24 February 1941. He attended high school for 3 years and worked on a dairy farm before he enlisted.
T/5 Duncan was killed when a shell, fired by a German tank, hit his gun position.
