Pfc Harold Wilson Brown attended Proviso Township High School as a member of the class of 1930, but he left school after his sophomore year. He worked as an office clerk.

He enlisted on 20 July 1943 and was sent overseas on 17 October 1944.

Records indicate that he was hit by small arms fire in his right chest and died from his wounds. He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium on 12 February 1945.
