Pfc Hill enlisted in July 1943 and trained at Camp Fannin, Texas. He had been overseas for five months.He was killed by a German tank gun on a bridge close to the Belgian-German border.
Pfc James P. Hill first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium.
