More information

Sgt Leegrand H. Koller volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 31 January 1942.

2nd Lt Delmar L. Brinkman:
"The ship flying in position 6 or 7 in B Box was having trouble staying with the formation. I gathered this because he jettisoned two bombs in order to keep up with the formation. As I was looking out of the window a few minutes after he jettisoned the two bombs, I noticed his ship stall and start falling back. As he fell back he collided with ship 42-52064, which had fallen back from his position and was flying in back of No. 5, C Box."
