T/Sgt Theodore R. Chandler:“In Yugoslavia territory aircraft 004 called in to the aircraft I was flying with the message they were low on gas and were landing in Yugoslavia. That is all I know of aircraft 004.”
T/Sgt Howard E. Ott:
“No one on the plane bailed out. A crash landing was made. All members of my crew were taken prisoner at the same time, with the exception of Lt Winters and Lt Johnson. The Germans told us the next day that they had been shot trying to escape.”
