Pvt Harry S. Bannan was a student at John Harris High School, the Hill soldier left school to enter the service in May 1944. He trained at Fort McClellan, Alabama and Fort Leonard Wood, Mexico. Going overseas to France late in November 1944.He enlisted in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania on 19 May 1944.
