Pfc Robert M. Watts graduated from Amesbury High School and was employed by the Barr and Bloomfield Shoe Company.He volunteered for the Army of the United States in Boston, Massachusetts on 20 May 1942 and was sent overseas in February 1943.
On 9 January 1945 he was wounded in action and after recovering, rejoined his unit.
One photo was taken on 18 September 1944 in the vicinity of Son-Best.
