Pvt Roy M. Mc Carson attended college for two years.

He joined the Regular Army on 9 March 1940.

He served in Newfoundland and went to England in August 1944.

He was killed by a German 88 Field Gun near the Son footbridge with Major Horton and 5 other enlisted soldiers.
