Cpl William T. Grigsby graduated from Bowie High School.

He had been overseas for three months.

He was killed by backing or walking into a rotating propeller. He had just found out that his wife had given birth to their first child.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Solers, France.
