Pfc Norbert G. Reed graduated from high school in 1943 and worked for the Nicolett Hybrid Seed Company.He enlisted on 24 February 1943.
The glider, in which he was a passenger, was forced to make a crash landing into a wooded field near Hamminkeln. He was instantly killed.
His brother Edward also served in France and his brother Arthur served with the U.S. Navy.
