1st Lt John M. Bigler attended the University of Arkansas.He was married to Geraldine Minich on 17 March 1943.
He was first buried in a temporary grave at Margraten on 11 April 1945. He was disinterred on 10 August 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 25 August 1948. He was given his final resting place on 22 December 1948.
He is remembered at the cemetery of Gillett, Arkansas.
