S/Sgt Michael P. O'Hara graduated from Boys Central High School and was a widely-known football star for Centerville.He enlisted in Butte, Montana on 27 August 1942.
Little is known about the circumstances of the loss of the airplane. All four crew members were killed. It also carried eighteen passengers, all members of the British 6th Airborne Division. Probably they all jumped out of the plane.
