S/Sgt Jerome E. Mouton graduated from Cathedral High School in 1935 and the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1939. He was employed at the First National Bank.

He enlisted at Jacksonville AAF, Florida on 28 November 1941 and was had been overseas since August 1943.

S/Sgt Mouton died of alcohol poisoning.
