Pfc Russell E. Sharp graduated Clare High School in 1936.

He was employed by the Dow Chemical Company before he enlisted at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 12 August 1944.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium.
