2nd Lt Daniel C. Schnebly Jr. graduated from the New Castle High School, Mercersburg Academy and Princeton University in 1943 where he majored in history.He enlisted in Camden, New Jersey on 12 February 1943. In September 1944 he was sent overseas.
In October 1944 he was seriously wounded and recovered an English hospital until February 1945, when he returned to active combat duty.
He is remembered at the Citizens Cemetery in Cherry Tree, Pennsylvania.
