Pfc John C. Hutchinson enlisted in Cincinnati, Ohio on 11 January 1944. He had been overseas with an armored division since July. 1944. A graduate of Withrow High School, he was employed by the Baldwin Piano Co. before entering the Army.His tank No. D16 was knocked out by direct fire, killing the entire crew. Two more crew members are buried at Henri-Chapelle: Pvt Robert E. Hurley and T/5 James E. Sheppard.
