Pfc Samuel B. Gibney Jr. enlisted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 12 November 1942. He trained at Camp Van Dorn in Mississippi and at Camp Maxey in Texas. Previous to service he attended William Pen High School and was employed by Stitts Bakery.
