Pfc Charles Dragwa graduated from Fell Township High School.

He enlisted in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on 7 October 1942.

He was reported seriously wounded in France on 13 July 1944. After recovering he rejoined his unit.

According the the Morning Report of the Company of 18 March, Pfc Dragwa was evacuated to the 53rd Field Hospital with a serious non-battle injury, sustained on 17 March. He died in this hospital, that was stationed in Damm-Jüchen at that moment, a day later

His brother, Michael Dragwa, was reported missing in action on 20 April 1944 at the Mediterranean Sea and is memorialized at the North Africa American Cemetery at Carthage, Tunisia.
