Sgt Dolphis M. Daigle enlisted in Bangor, Maine on 2 February 1943.

While stationed in Liège the 15th General Hospital was working out of a former Belgian Military Hospital on top of a hill overlooking the city. On the morning after Thanksgiving, the 15th was to awake to a V-1 flying bomb. It landed in front of the pharmacy building and Dolphis was one of sixteen killed.

Sgt Daigle was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Fosse, Belgium.

He was given his finale resting place at Henri-Chapelle on 22 November 1948.
