1st Lt Gordon H. Whitlow graduated from Cheyenne Wells High School in 1938. He attended Colorado State University.

He enlisted in the Canadian Royal Air Force in August 1941 and transferred to the US Air Corps in September 1942.
1st Lt Gordon H. Whitlow was shot down by a fighter of JG 26/III.

He is remembered at Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie, Wyoming.
