More information

T/Sgt Morris F. Weltzien graduated from Huntley High School in 1941. He attended Northern Illinois University for one year.

He enlisted on 11 December 1942 at Chicago, Illinois.

His aircraft was attacked by 20 FW-190 fighters and crashed at Rengerhausen.

He bailed out but found without having opened his parachute. According to a crew member, his chute could have hit the plane or he was too paralyzed to pull the line.
