2nd Lt Richard F. Ellis enlisted in Atlantic City, New Jersey on 21 February 1943.
He was last seen in the pilot position and was unable to get out before explosion. A/C was hit in number three engine. Dropped down 1-2 thousand feet and was seen to explode.
