Pfc Harold R. Shelden attended Douglas High School.

He enlisted in Douglas, Wyoming on 24 February 1941 and sent overseas January 1944.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Molenhoek, the Netherlands on 22 September 1944.
