Pfc Nick D. Fizet was employed at the Atlas Powder Company before he joined the coast artillery at fort Bliss from 12 January to 13 February 1943 and then at camp Pickett from 25 November to 9 February 1944 before he went overseas.He was taken prisoner of war in the vicinity of Baraque de Fraiture, Belgium on 23 December 1944.
He died of wounds in the prisoner of war camp Stalag XII-A
