More information

Pfc Stanley Creswick graduated from Bayonne High School. He trained at Camp Croft, South Carolina and Fort Benning, Georgia and was sent overseas in February 1944.

He enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 19 June 1943.

He was hit in the abdomen by small arms fire while defending a roadblock near Riethorst. His platoon commander, Lt. Brownlee, was also wounded but tried to treat Creswick anyway. A medic determined that he needed a blood transfusion, but he still died during the night.
