More information
Cpl Stanley J. Kaminski enlisted in Buffalo, New York on 9 June 1941.He had joined his unit as a reinforcement after Market-Garden in Mourmelon, France.
On 20 December 1944, he and Pvt Wayne Calloway formed a bazooka team. Cpl Stanley Kaminiski carried the ammunition. When German tanks attacked their position, they ran forward and disappeared into the mist. They were never seen alive again.
Around new year's eve, word came from the unit that took over the frontline of the 1st Battalion at Neffe, that both men were found in some woods near Neffe. They both had been shot with their hands tied behind their backs and their boots had been removed.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
