Harrie Winham graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1941.He joined the U.S. Army Reserve and was commissioned a second lieutenant in 1941.
While he was stationed in England he tried several times to meet up with his brother, Capt Arthur J. Winham who served with the Army Medical Corps, but because of D-Day preparations they never had the opportunity.
