Stephen Cook was a woodworker.He enlisted at Camp Grant, Illinois on 23 March 1942.
He was killed by a direct hit on his tank destroyer.
He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium on 17 May 1945, after his remains were evacuated from the vicinity where he was killed. He was given his final resting place at Henri-Chapelle on 26 November 1948.
